Just enjoying being on holiday

Sunday, I predict this will be a slow lazy day, it’s just wonderful, stepping out of our villa about 10am to the sound of a local island band playing on a moored boat just a few meters into the lagoon. Kids laughing and playing in the water, people lazing on sun beds, birds singing the morning praises and no hangover this is wonderful. We were learning our environment and it was Sunday so we played in the water with the Kayaks, swam and found the local shops and coffee houses.

The lagoon is extremely clear, and only about four or five feet deep at the most, well as far as we could tell, Kayaks were one of the ways of getting around, so were small Optimus Class Sailboats for the kids, bigger sailboats for the adults, the more adventures took to stand up paddle boards, some walked and one chap even rode a horse. A horse you say, yes a horse, there in the middle of the lagoon was a man on a white steed, just wandering around the lagoon.

We didn’t stray far from the room  as we expected our companions sometime in the afternoon , they ended up arriving around 7pm, apparently someone had been ill on board necessitating a trip back to Auckland after being in the air for an hour. We took it easy all day and we enjoyed just being on holiday and we caught for dinner anyway.
