Text On Photographs
In Paintshop Pro X do the following to put text on pictures and alter the colour of the text to one selected
- Open the picture
- If it is a black and white photo then click on menu Image>increase color depth>RGB – 16 bits
- Ensure the Tools Tool bar is selected
- Select Text Tool if the check box Remember Text is checked then clear the text and uncheck it and apply
- Ensure the Materials Palette is selected.
- Select the Dropper Tool from the left hand Tool Bar
- Hover over the choice of colour for your text from within the photo. For extra insurance write down the numbers.
- Left click on the Dropper Tool to fill the top colour box in the Materials Palette
- Right click on the Dropper Tool to fill the bottom colour box in the Materials Palette.
- Now click on the Text Tool (T) from the left hand tool bar.
- Move the cursor to where you want the words and click and it will bring up the text entry box.
- Enter the text and Apply. The font and size can be adjusted by using the tool bar above the picture when the text is highlight.
- The Text can be moved around the photo once the text has been applied.
To Move Text
Moving text is done by Selecting the Text Tool and selecting the text moving the cursor to the centre until such time as the move cursor appears then drag to appropriate place.
